Finance Minister Sri Mulayani Indvati revealed the efforts of the Indonesian government to increase the import of many strategic goods from the United States (USA). Barang -barang ini termasuk minyak mentah, gas alam cair (LNG), serta produk pertanian seperti gandum, kedelai dan jagung.
Sri Mulayani mengatakan bahwa perdagangan dan selain hambatan komersial saat ini menjadi subjek pemerintah. On an ongoing basis, Indonesia assesses various trade barriers of both tariffs and non-highs to create a more open and efficient commercial climate.
“On the tariff side, most Indonesia tariffs are in fact very low, but we will always judge and check if there are areas that we can increase on the tariff side,” said Sri Mulani in an interview with CNBC cited from a written statement, Sunday (4/27/2025).
When it comes to obstacles in Nieparphus, Sri Mulani admitted that Indonesia still has a number of mechanisms that are often a problem because it is believed to prevent trade.
“Either in the form of administrative processes, for example in the customs process when importing goods, or in terms of assessment, tax procedures or quarantine for agricultural products,” explained Sri Mulani.
Selain itu, Sri Mulayani menekankan pentingnya produk pertanian Amerika yang memiliki kontribusi besar terhadap keamanan pangan Indonesia. Sejauh ini, Indonesia tidak hanya diimpor dari AS, tetapi juga dari banyak negara lain.
“Produk seperti gandum, kedelai dan jagung adalah produk pertanian yang juga dikonsumsi di Indonesia.
In the energy sector, although Indonesia is a country that produces oil and gas, its production capacity is still not sufficient for domestic needs. Itulah sebabnya pemerintah Indonesia melihat kemungkinan peningkatan impor energi, terutama LNG dari AS.
“So these are all areas where we can certainly do oil and gas outsourcing from the USA, including Boeing products and so on. There are also products and production products in which we can narrow down, reduce and even eliminate this surplus,” explained Sri Mulyani.
Seperti yang Anda ketahui, impor tambahan dari AS dilakukan untuk mengurangi defisit perdagangan di AS dengan Indonesia. Ini adalah tawaran membatasi tarif tinggi untuk barang -barang Indonesia yang memasuki pasar Amerika. (Bantuan/rrd)
